Why we have rethought loungewear | 6 reasons

1. Comfortable and stylish

When we come home, there’s one thing we want above all else: to escape the daily grind and slip into something comfortable. But “comfortable” was often synonymous with “not presentable.” If you wanted to feel comfortable at home, you usually had to change clothes again before leaving the house. Why is that, anyway? That very question was the starting point for YOU LOOK PERFECT. 

I founded the YOU LOOK PERFECT label in 2017 because I was convinced that it must be possible to design loungewear that’s not only comfortable but also stylish, high-quality and natural. Clothing that you can wear just as easily at home as in a café, in your everyday life, or while traveling—without compromising on style, materials, or production. And that’s exactly what we do today.

2. Knit instead of jersey

Our loungewear is knitted. This makes it stretchy, soft, breathable, and exceptionally elegant. Unlike jersey or velour fabrics, which are commonly found in traditional loungewear, knitwear offers a whole new level of quality: It looks put-together—but feels like a second skin.

Plus, knitwear is stretchy thanks to its stitch pattern: no pinching or tugging—it all feels soft, cozy, and light against the skin. It’s a whole different wearing experience!

3. Merino Wool: The Natural Alternative to Synthetic Fibers

Our collections are made exclusively from the finest merino wool—a natural material that regulates temperature, is odor-resistant, durable, and pleasantly soft against the skin. Unlike synthetic fibers, washing these garments does not release microplastics from polyester, polyacrylic, or polyamide.

We use only high-quality Italian merino yarn for our designs. This yarn is certified by Oeko-Tex to be free of harmful substances and is mulesing-free. In this way, we combine the highest level of comfort with carefully selected materials.

4. Made in Europe - out of conviction

Our loungewear is made exclusively in Europe—from Italian yarn and crafted in small, family-run workshops, primarily in Portugal.

This geographical proximity allows us to keep transportation distances short, work closely with our production partners, and make regular in-person visits to their facilities. This way, we get to know the people who make our collections and can see the production conditions for ourselves.

We place great importance on long-term partnerships, high-quality craftsmanship, and responsible manufacturing. Our production partners share our high standards for quality, reliability, and fair collaboration.

5. Responsibly packaged

When it comes to packaging, we also make a point of avoiding plastic whenever possible.

While in the apparel industry, each individual garment is typically packaged in a plastic bag (polybag), we use tissue paper and recycled cardboard boxes instead.

For shipping, we partner with Austrian Post, DPD, and DHL. These shipping providers continuously invest in measures to reduce transportation emissions, such as optimizing delivery routes and increasing the use of alternative propulsion systems.

YOU LOOK PERFECT is more than just a fashion brand. It’s a statement against fast fashion and in favor of timeless quality, high-quality materials, and durable design.

Today, women all over the world wear our loungewear—from Scandinavia to California. The DACH region remains at the heart of our business, but our vision extends far beyond it: We want to create clothing that makes you feel completely comfortable—day after day.
