1. Why We've Reimagined Loungewear

When we come home, there’s one thing we want above all else: to escape the daily grind and slip into something comfortable. But “comfortable” was often synonymous with “not presentable.” If you wanted to feel comfortable at home, you usually had to change clothes again before leaving the house. Why is that, anyway? That very question was the starting point for YOU LOOK PERFECT. 

I founded the YOU LOOK PERFECT label in 2017 because I was convinced that it must be possible to create loungewear that is not only comfortable but also stylish, high-quality—and sustainable. Clothing that you can wear just as easily at home as in a café, in your everyday life, or while traveling—without compromising on style, materials, or production. And that’s exactly what we do today.

2. Knit Instead of Jersey: What Makes Our Loungewear Special

Our loungewear is knitted. This makes it stretchy, soft, breathable, and exceptionally elegant. Unlike jersey or velour fabrics, which are commonly found in traditional loungewear, knitwear offers a whole new level of quality: It looks put-together—but feels like a second skin.

Plus, knitwear is stretchy thanks to its stitch pattern: no pinching or tugging—it feels soft, cozy, and light against the skin. It’s a whole different wearing experience!

3. Merino Wool: The Sustainable Alternative to Synthetic Fibers

Our collections are made exclusively from the finest merino wool —a natural material that regulates temperature, is odor-neutral, biodegradable, and durable. No synthetic fibers, no microplastics. Instead, genuine comfort and a pleasant feel against the skin.

Our high-quality Italian yarn is also certified to be free of harmful substances, so you can be sure you’re not wearing any chemicals on your skin. And we only source mulesing-free merino yarn, because animal welfare is very important to us!

4. Fair production in Europe—instead of low wages and exploitation in the Far East

We manufacture exclusively in Europe—using yarn from Italy, produced in small workshops, primarily in Portugal. This proximity allows us to keep shipping distances short, ensure transparent processes, and maintain fair working conditions, which we regularly inspect ourselves on site.

We believe that clothing should not pollute the world or exploit people. That’s why we work exclusively with companies that share our values—from fair wages and good working conditions to verified environmental standards. We know our partners personally. Our own contracts go beyond the legal minimum standards. This creates genuine accountability—and genuine quality.

5. Plastic-free, carbon-neutral, responsibly packaged

Our shipping is plastic-free and carbon-neutral. Instead of the usual poly bags—the plastic bags in which every (!) single item is packaged right from the production line—which are the absolute standard in the fashion industry, we package our products in tissue paper and recycled cardboard boxes!

And every package is delivered to the customer in a climate-neutral way via the postal service, DPD, or DHL Express.

6. YOU LOOK PERFECT – Fashion that looks good and does good

YOU LOOK PERFECT is more than just a fashion label. It’s a statement against disposable fashion, against fast fashion, and against indifference. It’s a commitment to style, quality, and awareness.

Today, women all over the world wear our loungewear—from Scandinavia to California. The DACH region remains at the heart of our business, but our vision knows no bounds: We want to create fashion that makes you feel completely comfortable—YOU LOOK PERFECT!
