Why our house suits are knitted from merino wool

When developing our collections, we focus on high-quality materials, comfort, and meticulous craftsmanship. That’s why our loungewear sets are made exclusively from Italian merino wool and are produced in family-run knitting factories in Portugal.

We use only mulesing-free merino wool for our yarn. The yarn we use comes from Italy and has been tested for harmful substances in accordance with Oeko-Tex standards. Our close collaboration with our production partners in Europe allows us to make regular in-person visits and ensures short supply chains from the yarn to the finished garment.

Why do we use merino wool?

Merino wool is an exceptionally fine natural fiber obtained from the wool of Merino sheep. Compared to traditional virgin wool, the fibers are significantly finer and therefore feel exceptionally soft against the skin.

In addition to its soft feel, merino wool offers numerous functional benefits. It is breathable, regulates body temperature, and ensures a comfortable wearing experience on both cool and warmer days.

Unlike synthetic fibers such as polyester or polyacrylic, merino wool is derived from a renewable resource. The fiber is biodegradable and is therefore particularly well-suited for people who consciously prefer natural fibers.

Merino Loungewear Set, Taupe

Comfortable to wear—all year round

A merino wool loungewear set takes you far beyond the living room.

Whether you're enjoying a leisurely breakfast, working from home, going for a walk, traveling, or stopping by a café—merino wool comfortably adapts to varying temperatures and offers exceptional comfort in every season.

Thanks to its temperature-regulating properties, merino wool keeps you warm in cooler temperatures while also helping to maintain a comfortable body temperature when it gets warmer.

Naturally functional

Merino wool has many properties that make it an exceptional fiber for clothing.

It wrinkles very little, retains its shape, hardly builds up static electricity, and absorbs odors only slowly. At the same time, it feels exceptionally soft and is distinctly different from traditional, often coarser virgin wool.

To ensure that our loungewear makes everyday life as hassle-free as possible, our merino yarn is specially treated for machine washing.

Quality starts with the choice of materials

Before a yarn becomes part of our collection, we test various Italian yarns for pilling, dimensional stability, washability, and comfort, among other factors.

A yarn is selected for production only after it meets our quality requirements.

Made in Europe

Our loungewear is made in small, family-run knitting workshops in Portugal.

Our proximity allows us to work closely with our production partners and make regular in-person visits to their facilities. Our partners are contractually obligated to adhere to high labor and social standards. These include, among other things, safe working conditions and the prohibition of child labor and forced labor.

We also avoid using plastic in our packaging whenever possible, opting instead for tissue paper and cardboard boxes made from recycled paper.
