Why our house suits are knitted from merino wool

In recent years, the fashion industry has made great strides towards sustainability. Consumers are becoming more and more environmentally aware and are specifically looking for sustainable fashion. Consumers are questioning where and how their clothes were produced and want to ensure that neither people, animals nor nature are exploited for their own clothes. We very much welcome this movement and critical questions, as sustainability has been an important pillar of our label from the very beginning.

With us, you can be sure that people, animals and nature are highly valued along the entire value chain. Our wool is a pure natural product, free of harmful substances and mulesing-free. Why do we use merino wool for our house suits?

Merino wool is a natural fiber that is obtained from the hair of merino sheep. It is only about half as thick as normal new wool and is therefore particularly soft. Merino wool is particularly valued for its softness, warmth and breathability. In contrast to synthetic materials such as polyester or polyacrylic, which are made from crude oil and therefore hardly decompose, merino wool is a renewable raw material that is biodegradable at the end of the textile's life. An important point, considering the vast quantities of clothing that are constantly being produced. This makes merino wool a very environmentally friendly choice for clothing.

One of the main advantages of a merino wool house suit is its exceptional thermal performance. Merino wool is known for its excellent insulating properties, which help to keep you warm even in the coldest temperatures. This is particularly important for house suits, as although they are primarily intended for relaxing and unwinding at home, they are also suitable for going to the supermarket, to the café or for traveling. A merino wool house suit will keep you warm and comfortable all day long.

Another advantage of merino wool house suits is their breathability. Unlike synthetic fabrics, which can trap moisture and lead to overheating, merino wool is naturally moisture-wicking and breathable. This means that merino wool helps to regulate body temperature, keeping you comfortable throughout the day and allowing your skin to breathe. This is why merino wool is often used in high-quality sportswear and functional underwear. Thanks to the breathability of merino wool, you can also wear our house suits at any time of year, as merino wool also regulates the air supply in summer, has a cooling effect and allows the skin to breathe. A balmy summer evening in the park? A late summer barbecue with the neighbors? Let's go! Because our house suits are also perfect for this, for example our elegant knitted leisure suit for women ...

Merino wool is not only warming and breathable, but also incredibly soft and comfortable. This is due to the special structure of the wool fibers, which are much thinner, finer and smoother than conventional wool fibers. This makes merino wool feel soft and luxurious on the skin - no comparison to the often scratchy feel of normal new wool.

On top of this, there are other ingenious advantages, such as the fact that merino wool hardly creases and retains its fit. Wool is also flame retardant, does not become electrically charged like synthetic fibers and does not absorb odors. A real dream fiber! That's why our entire collection has been made exclusively from this wonderful yarn for years. And our merino yarn is also specially treated so that it is machine washable.

What about the sustainability of our knitted merino wool tracksuits?

Perhaps the most important advantage of merino wool homewear is its environmental friendliness. As mentioned above, merino wool is a renewable resource that is renewable, biodegradable and recyclable. This means that using merino wool has much less impact on the environment than synthetic fabrics, which are not made from renewable resources and take at least 500 years to decompose. By choosing a women's merino wool house suit, you can help reduce your ecological footprint and support sustainable fashion.

Another aspect of eco-fashion is ethical production. Our merino wool house suits are produced according to sustainable and ethical principles that ensure that the workers involved in the production process are treated and paid fairly and that the environment is protected. This includes the use of renewable energy sources, ethical working conditions and responsible sourcing of materials, including the use of mulesing-free merino yarn.
